June 2 - Master Competitor Wulbert Stam is winning all competitions for the Masters class in the Netherlands.
After a good start Stam is improving every competition. If he does not get injured the HGF title of 2012 will be safely in his hands.

June 3 - IHGF European Strength Challenge in Hungary
In this competion over two days, with a mix of highland games and strongman events, the German master Hans Dieter Dorow is in 6th place at the end of the first day. With the Hungarian hammer (14 kilogram) he had a distance over 60 ft.
The second day will be for the strongman events.
Second day with strongman events the Hungarian athletes made theire mark. The competition was won by Csaba Meszaros (Hungary), 2nd Jonathan Kelly (Ireland) en 3d Adam Darasz (Hungary).
June 5 - On June 10 the Masters competition will continue in Capelle (Netherlands). Will master Wulbert Stam continue his winning streak? Can Wybe Zeilstra turn the table to his advantage?
June 6 - In 16 days (June 23 and 24) the fourth "Brandenburgische Highland Games" - Berlin (Germany) will start with the participation of the Dutch masters athletes Wulbert Stam, Wybe Zeilstra and Harry Bergsma. Harry, former Dutch champion, started training hard again and has in Beckum (Netherlands) thrown well over 91 feet with the 16 lbs hammer in the Masters division. The masters class in this competion by the way, was won by German giant Manfred Mühlenhaus. Manfred also took 2nd place in the International Highland Games Kamen (Germany).
June 10 - Wulbert Stam wins Highland Games Capelle (Netherlands). Stam shows no signs of slowing down. Wulbert Stam is celebrating more success with another memorable win in the masters class with a new PR with the 16 lbs stone.
Pride of Friesland Wybe Zeilstra won the caber with a perfect 12 o''clock but could not push Stam from first place and settled for second place.
June 11 - John Allen set a new field record with a throw that covered 16 ft with the 42 lbs Weight for Height. This was done during the "Blairsville Scottish Festival & Highland Games" - Georgia (USA) which was held yesterday. The old record dated from 2009, held by Roger Mann with 15’6”.
Eric Snow, 3d place Masters World Championships 2012 (USA), age class 50 - 54, set a new field record for Open Stone (21.8 lbs) with a distance of 35’5”. The previous record of 32'6 , held by Tom Jennings, had stood for 6 years. John Allen won the Masters class. Congrats John!

(Germany) will be shown on LifeStream. Heavy Events and Master Events on Sunday 24th June will be aired live!

June 24 - Yesterday Braidy Miller, World Champion 2012, (USA) broke the Master Weight over Bar World record (class 40 -44) with a height of 22" 1'
(spinning technique)!
June 27 - The 4th edition of the "Brandenburgische Highland Games" took place in Berlin (Germany). Athletes from Germany, Switzerland as well of the Netherlands took part in these Games. The masters class was won by Hans Dieter Dorow. Andreas Deuschle took second (with a torn biceps) and Wulbert Stam was third! Wybe Zeilstra took 7th place and Harry Bergsma was 8th.
Well done Hans! And full and speedy recovery for Andreas.
