Harry Bergsma
Harry Bergsma, masters champion
Born in 1964. Harry is a brother of former strongman Alle Bergsma. Harry was successful competing for the last four years and giving his competitors a good laugh with his humour. His hammer throwing is outstanding. Harry also competed in armwrestling. This former masterchampion of the Netherlands is 1.85 and 119 kilo. He competed in the 2009 European Masters Championships and pressed Anthony Lordi very hard for fourth place. He's an outstanding caber tosser.
Harry has it's own glass company and is married to Margreet Bergsma. Margreet has also won the Dutch title Highland Games for women (and holds master records). Both are also well known as promotors for Highland Games by organizing the 'Open Friese Kampioenschappen Highland Games' , by now an international contest.
In October 2011 Harry announced his retirement as an competing athlete. After many injuries for quit a long time, he decided to stop competing so he can focus more on his glass company.
