I only trained WFD for a couple of weeks, I hoped to throw over 44 feet but it was only about 38 feet. Could not turn fast, weather
conditions were very bad. The other competitors had also problems, no records were broken under this conditions.
I did not touch any caber for two years so picking up a massive, slippery caber on a flooded field and even toss it (50 degrees) was not that bad, I think.
In contrast to the caber and WFD events, the stone put, hammerthrow and WOB were below any standard. The only advantage
is that after this disappointing competition (for me) things can get only better.
