Hit the mark

4/29/2015

Two weeks ago I worked also in the weekend and evenings so no time to train. Then sunday morning I had a few hours spare, I decided to do some throws with Light WFD, my target was the 46 feet mark.
But it stopped at 44,6 feet, my legs could not move with any speed. OK no problem, I expected an bad trainingsession. Then last weekend I had time. Saturday morning the 46 mark was broken. Then next day I felt OK and gave it another try,
this time the 48 mark was broken. Satisfied with that, but my left arm has to heal quickly now. I could not train my upper body in the gym for more than a month so muscle mass decreased. Steadily the arm is improving, but so damn slowly. So far WFD is on track, but the rest has to follow

One-arm training

This weekend I trained both Saturday and Sunday. Due to my left underarm inflammation I could only train Light WFD and Open Stone. My increased body weight give some edge with the shot put. The OS (16 lbs) landed over 30 feet, 5 feet improvement from Scotland 2014.  Light WFD was taped at 44 feet. Some more throws over 44 but faulted (out of the trig), still to slow with the last turn.
I taped my hand to keep the skin on my hand. Next week should be over 46 feet so I'm on schedule now. Hopefully my left arm will be healed soon, so I can train caber, hammer and sheaf.

Bumpy road to Masters World 2015

Unfortunely the last four weeks I have an inflammation of my left underarm extensors (Lateral epicondylitis). The pain is severe and my doctor already talks OP. I did not train for two weeks also no relief. I get now help from a German specialist who made a brace for me. I should wear it day and night to eliminate the problem. He cannot make accurate predictions of the time for the healing process. So for now.. no caber, hammer or sheaf toss training....or deadlift or rowing movements. But squats....and squats.
For the atletic events I train WFD, Stone and WFH.
