July 5 - Hans Dieter Dorow, the German master, placed 7th in the IHGF European Championships 2011 in Hungary (non-masters contest). The contest was won by Dutch athlete Pieter Karst Bouma, who is now well on his way to establish himself as a pro. Pieter Karst has been invited to the IHGF World Amateur Highland Games Championships in Spokane, Washington
July 6 - After the competition in Rotterdam, Wybe Zeilstra is still leading the Dutch Competition in the Amateur class and the masters class. Godfried Kleinmeijer in second place in the masters class and dropped to 8th place in the Dutch Competition, he missed out in Rotterdam. Harry Bergsma is in third place. Wulbert Stam, due to his injury, lost to many contests and therefore too many valuable points.
July 11 - Wulbert Stam is back! In the last competition in Belgium, Wulbert won the masters competition and was second in the amateur class. He is closing in on runner-up Godfried Kleinmeijer, he and Wybe Zeilstra didn't compete in Belgium. It was the first competition from Wulbert since his competition in Iceland.
July 25 - Wulbert Stam, Wout Zijlstra and Wybe Zeilstra are gearing up for the European Masters Championships in Norway in August 13th and 14th.
