My back should stay at one piece this time. I noticed it everytime in my life, not training makes the body more prone to injuries especially if you 're older. Getting back into a sound training regime is a pre for a good health.
Again a decent training, this time a fast one because due to work I started very late almost 21.00. Bench press 220 x 30 for 3 sets, it feels easy now and the elbow is fine. A total of 7 sets including warming-up. Then straight ahead to the deadlift platform. Warming-up with 220lbs and 240 lbs. I ended with speed-sets (no belt, no alternate grip) with 365 lbs concentrating on speed, style and form.

Yesterday I did some bench pressing 25 x 220 lbs x 3, 4 x 300 lbs. Then some back excercises, dumbell rows, latmachine and some speed deadlifts with 330 lbs. Elbows felt sore, damn, but lower back feels OK. I finished with some side delt excercises. Overall a decent training.
My gym trainingspartner is preparing for the Duch Raw Powerlifting Championships in December. Hopefully he'll set some Dutch records in his weight class under 83 kilo. Most Dutch champions are competing like Pjotr van den Hoek and Ilja Strik. Today was my first field training after a few months revalidating. This time I had a new trainingspartner, Daan, 6 feet 3 inches around 300 lbs and 29 years old. He trains in my gym and wanted to give it a try. In his first highland games training ever he had a very nice throw with the WFD of almost 50 feet! Very impressive. My throw was about 40 feet. Then we did some weight for height. My 42 lbs weight is under construction, so we had an odd 26 lbs weight for height. Mine throws stopped at 13 feet whereas Daan threw 16,5 feet. Then some stone put and I got beaten again! More to come.....
My back prevents me to do some field throwing. In the gym the movements are controlled and with low weights. Actually my bench is done with more weight than my deadlifts. Almost a month and a half now for not training properly. At least one advantage is that I have a proper deload. I can't think of competition right now, first my traning should be back on track. I'll experiment with new things. One of my problems is that in training I can explode (sometimes) whereas in competiton my turns are too slow (always), so my distance really sucks in competiton. For WFD it takes of almost 3 meters! I have not figured out how to tackle this problem.
